On Your Watch

Unless we act decisively, history will record that Barack Obama accelerated and completed America’s downward spiral into unexceptionalism, turning us into just another ordinary welfare state like those sclerotic economies in Europe.  In fact, Barry Obama and his Marxist fellow travelers would love that result as it would further cement their power over us, which is all that they care about.  If you believe that they care one bit about your health care or the environment you are naïve, ignorant, or both.  Every single such issue is nothing more than a vehicle used to seize more power over our lives.  It is the raison d’etre of the American left – dependency based control.  Though they sugar coat it for the less intelligent, it remains nothing less than slavery to the State wrapped up in the guise of false security.

Don’t allow Socialists to define the terms

Socialism is a dirty word in America.  It is an epithet and it deserves to be.  The core of the philosophy – that you are owned by the State – is inherently immoral and completely contradictory to the principles on which the American system is based.  Additionally, the idea that our entire system should be reoriented to be most conducive to the needs of the least ambitious and least successful among us is intellectually bankrupt and destructive to the amazingly prosperous society that we and our predecessors have built.

Guidance vs. Tyranny

The founding fathers clearly believed that the biggest threat to liberty came from a powerful central government and that most issues should be handled by the several states.  In most cases this is a prudent approach.  But if the central charter of our government involves a commitment to individual rights, what can that federal government do – and what should it do – when the truly fundamental rights required for that civil society are being violated?

Statism’s Intentional Failures

Step 1: Intentionally let a problem become a “crisis” by either refusing to enforce laws or by enforcing laws that only worsen the situation.

Step 2: Insult every American’s intelligence by pretending to ride in on a white horse to save us from the problem that was in fact intentionally created by the same group of egregiously dishonest con men.

The Europe/Socialist Syndrome

 Put most simply, Murray’s basic argument is that the European model for government takes so much of the “trouble” out of life that the parts of life that end up being fulfilling experiences are simply not there.  This is precisely the model that our current executive and legislative branches seek to emulate.

The Cloward-Piven Strategy

We have seen the results of the Cloward-Piven strategy, from the sub-prime crisis to [always left-wing] voter fraud in any swing state, these people are playing for keeps.  Working in the trenches with these very people, attempting to destroy the system from within so that he could remake it, was our community organizer president.  Saul Alinksy would be so proud.

On Taxes and Socialism

Socialism is immoral because at its core, once you strip away the camouflage of false compassion, it requires an acceptance that the government owns you, that when the rubber hits the road you are simply a number, and that if you are more productive than most other people you will be regarded as a cash cow to be milked for what some group of statists considers The Common Good.  You can dress that up in the “party dress” of alleged compassion but it remains un-American and immoral.

Hardball Politics Meets Dangerous Naivete

This gaggle of elitist beta males and statist myrmidons who run the country are playing for keeps, and too many people on the freedom side of the equation remain in denial.  Your grandchildren are going to ask you what you did in this battle for the soul and future of America.  What will you say?

November is Only Trenton

We all know that we are going to enjoy significant wins at the polls in November.  What we need to remember is that our gains in November will only be analogous to Washington’s victory at Trenton on the day after Christmas in 1776.  It will be the first victory in what should be planned as a long, multi-front counterattack on the gains already made by the Constitution-hustling American statists.  We have a tough row to hoe.
